These exercises can strengthen our self-perception which can help the body to better position our muscles and allow us to sense where our body needs to be without looking. Your vision plays a major role in helping you maintain your balance. It works hand in hand with the vestibular (inner ear) and proprioceptive systems to maintain balance and prevent falls. If you're an older adult, balance exercises are really important because they can help you prevent falls and imporve your coordination.
