Aerobic means "with air," so aerobic training is a kind of activity that requires a continuous use of oxygen over an extended period of time. Aerobic exercise is generally exercise that is done over a long period of time, typically 20 minutes or more. For example, running a long distance at a moderate pace is an aerobic exercise, but sprinting is not. Probably the most common aerobic exercises are walking, jogging, cycling, dancing, and swimming.
